How we do things better
POPULAR WASTE MANAGEMENT METHODS
-
Disposal & Recycling
The proper disposal of waste is one of the most important factors in reducing your carbon footprint. Knowing how and what products to recycle is vital to allowing these products to be reused. Fortunately, waste collection and treatment companies are making recycling and waste disposal easier for everyone. Reducing transportation and logistics costs and promoting beneficial uses for waste materials.Learn more about recycling here: Waste Management

Landfills
Out of the 36 tons of plastic generated in the United States per year, approximately 27 end up in landfills. The remaining are either incinerated or recycled with little ending up in composting sites. Common issues for landfills include mismanagement of on-site waste, long-term leaks into groundwater reservoirs, and increasing saturation.
The United States Environmental Protection Agency has facilitated guidelines and recommendations in order to reduce these threats to waste management at landfills. The EPA places emphasis on reducing, reusing, and recycling as key to sustainable materials management.
In order to tackle the waste problem, we are creating products that have less "shelf life" in these landfills that will allow other waste to take up its space. We recommend reusing and reducing the vast majority of products as this is the most effective way to combat the saturation in our waste supply chains. -
Incineration
Incineration is a technique used for biosolids management that takes place in two steps. First is drying the solids so water is evaporated and the second is the combustion. There are key advantages to managing waste through incineration such as minimal land area requirements and potential energy recovery
The process is seldom managed as intended and there are severe consequences to not doing so. Incineration releases dangerous gasses into the air so proper air pollution control equipment is required, and these can experience operating and maintenance problems. High capital investment and dependency on non-renewable resources to operate make this option all the less attractive.
